Ingredient Notes
This creamer recipe is one of the easiest to make at home! The specific quantities and steps are listed in the recipe card below, so here I just want to touch on each of the ingredients that make this creamer so delicious!

- Sweetened condensed milk: The secret ingredient for velvety, rich creamer. As it is heat treated there is no need to cook or heat this creamer.
- Milk: I use whole dairy milk in this recipe, but you can use alternative milks (see below).
- Ground cinnamon: The essential ingredient in this cinnamon creamer recipe!
- Vanilla: Adds extra flavor depth. Vanilla extract is preferred, but see my notes below if you don’t have this ingredient.
Ingredient Substitutions
Milk: Half & half can be used instead of milk if you prefer. It will result in a slightly creamier consistency. You can also use non-dairy milks such as almond, soy, oat, or canned coconut milk.
Vanilla: Vanilla essence can be substituted for vanilla extract. Vanilla essence has a thinner less rich flavor than extract, so you may need to test for flavor and add a little more if required.
Vanilla bean paste can also be used instead of extract. It is richer and more intense than vanilla extract, so I recommend halving the amount if using vanilla bean paste.

How To Make Cinnamon Vanilla Coffee Creamer
Here’s a quick overview of how to make cinnamon vanilla creamer at home. For the full recipe and ingredient list, scroll down to the printable recipe card.
All you’ll need to make your own creamer is a quart-sized jug or medium mixing bowl with a spout, a whisk, measuring cups and spoons and of course your coffee mugs!

Step 1: Pour the can of condensed milk, milk, cinnamon and vanilla into your jug or bowl.
If using a jug with a lid, replace the lid and shake well until combined. If using a bowl, whisk until well combined.

Step 2: Prepare your coffee. You can add creamer to hot brewed coffee, iced coffee drinks, cold brew coffee and even smoothies and shakes.

Step 3: Add the cinnamon coffee creamer to your coffee and stir to combine. I recommend 2-3 tablespoons of creamer for a regular sized coffee, but the quantity is completely up to you! The more creamer you add, the creamier your coffee will be.
Recipe Tips For Success
- Use fresh milk: The fresher the milk, the longer your DIY coffee creamer will last in the fridge.
- Don’t forget the vanilla: Vanilla gives the creamer more depth of flavor and I highly recommend you add it. Use the best quality vanilla extract you can afford as it really makes a difference.
- Shake before using: Give your jar a quick shake each time before using as the cinnamon and vanilla will settle in the jar when in the fridge.

How To Store Cinnamon Creamer
The best way to store homemade creamer is in the fridge in an airtight pitcher with a lid.
As there are no preservatives in this homemade creamer it won’t last as long as creamer brands like Coffee Mate, International Delight or Chobani.
Generally DIY creamer made with milk will last for as long as the date marked on the milk. For this reason it’s best to use fresh unopened milk in your creamer recipe as this will extend the life of your creamer in the fridge.
Ensure you shake or whisk the creamer before using each time, as the ingredients will settle while in the fridge.
I don’t recommend freezing this creamer.

Homemade Cinnamon Coffee Creamer
Ingredients
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk see note 1
- 1½ cups milk see note 2
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Combine sweetened condensed milk, milk, vanilla and cinnamon in a quart sized jar or bowl with a spout.
- Cover with the lid and shake or whisk until well combined.
- Store in the refrigerator, and shake (or whisk) well before use as the ingredients will settle when in the fridge.
Notes
- Condensed milk can size is assumed to be 14 oz – or equal to 1 3/4 cups.
- Half & half can be used instead of milk, and any type of milk can be used – whole dairy milk, skim, almond, soy, oat or canned coconut milk.
- Use the best quality vanilla extract you can find for the best tasting creamer. Vanilla essence is not as rich in flavor, so if using that instead you may need to add a little more to achieve a good vanilla flavor.
- Store creamer in the fridge for as long as the “sell by” date of the milk in your creamer. Use fresh milk to extend the life of your creamer – usually up to 1 week.
- I generally use 3 tablespoons of this creamer in my coffee, so I have set this as the serving size.
- Cinnamon coffee creamer can be used in hot coffees, cold brew coffee, iced coffees and milkshakes!
