  • Nutella: The Italian hazelnut spread – for a rich, chocolatey flavor in an easy spreadable form.
  • Marshmallows: I use medium sized marshmallows, but feel free to sub larger ones if that is what you have on hand.
  • Sea Salt flakes: Optional, but recommended for extra flavor. If you don’t have flakes, coarse ground salt is another good option.

How To Make Smores In The Oven

You will need a baking tray and some parchment paper to get started.

Step 1: Break the graham cracker sheets into squares and split into two groups to make sandwiches. Spread one half of the cracker squares with Nutella.

Place the other cracker squares on your prepared baking tray and top with two marshmallows (or one large one).

Step 2: Broil the marshmallows until golden brown – watch them closely as it doesn’t take long and they burn quickly!

Step 3: Gently press the Nutella-topped crackers on top to form sandwiches.

Then leave for 30 seconds or so for the Nutella to warm and meld with the marshmallow, and also to allow the marshmallow to cool a little, then serve warm and enjoy!

Indoor S’Mores With Nutella

This indoor s'mores recipe turns nutella s'mores into a fast, no-fuss treat using your oven broiler. A perfect pick for camping themed party food ideas or anytime you're craving easy sweet snacks with gooey, toasted marshmallow and rich chocolate-hazelnut flavor.

Ingredients
  

  • 8 sheets graham crackers
  • ½ cup Nutella about 1 tbsp per s'more
  • 16 medium marshmallows
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt flakes

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to broil and position a rack near the top. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Break graham cracker sheets into squares. Spread 1 tablespoon of Nutella onto half of the squares and set aside.
  • Place the remaining graham cracker squares on the prepared baking sheet. Top each cracker with 2 marshmallows.
  • Broil for 30-60 seconds, or until the marshmallows are toasted and golden brown. Watch them closely to prevent burning as they cook quickly!
  • Remove the tray from the oven and immediately press the Nutella topped graham crackers onto the marshmallow side for form sandwiches.
  • Sprinkle with sea salt flakes and leave to sit for 30-60 seconds to allow everything to meld together and for the marshmallow to cool a little. Serve warm!

Notes

  1. Keep a close eye on the marshmallows while broiling as they can burn quickly.
  2. Optional step: Place the Nutella-covered graham crackers on a baking tray and warm in the oven for 20-30 seconds before assembling.
  3. Best enjoyed right away, store leftover s’mores in an airtight container for 1-2 days.
