Strawberry Fruit Dip Ingredients

To make this strawberry dip you’ll need the following ingredients. The specific quantities and steps are listed in the recipe card below.

  • Cool Whip: Thaw the whipped topping before using.
  • Strawberry yogurt: I like to use full fat strawberry flavored yogurt for a richer flavor.
  • Cream cheese: A block of cream cheese is best, but if you have the spreadable version in a tub, that will also work for this recipe. Bring it to room temperature for easier whipping.
  • Strawberries: Fresh strawberries for a sweet, fresh flavor. I don’t recommend using frozen strawberries.
  • Graham crackers: For dipping and sprinkling over the top of the dip.

Recipe Tips For Success

Room temperature ingredients: Make sure your cream cheese is completely softened to room temperature before mixing. If it’s too cold, you’ll end up with a lumpy dip instead of a smooth, velvety texture.

Fold, don’t mash: When adding the fresh strawberries, gently fold them in with a spatula rather than using the electric mixer. This keeps the berry pieces intact and prevents the dip from turning into a watery, pink mush.

What To Serve With Cheesecake Dip

To take this strawberry cool whip dip to the next level, you want a mix of dippers that offer different textures – crunchy, salty, and sweet. Here are the best serving suggestions to arrange around your dessert dip:

Crunchy: Mimic a classic cheesecake base with graham crackers (honey or cinnamon work beautifully), vanilla wafers, oreos, or animal crackers to give you that authentic crust-and-filling flavor combination.

Salty: Pair the sweet dip with pretzel twists, or pretzel sticks. The saltiness cuts through the sweetness perfectly and adds an amazing crunch.

Sweet: Keep it light and fresh by adding fresh fruit dippers to the platter. Apple slices, strawberries, blackberries, and whole grapes pair beautifully with the strawberry base.

Storage Tips

This fresh fruit dip is best enjoyed the day it is made, but leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Just place the dip in a sealed container and give it a light mix and an extra sprinkle of fresh strawberries before serving. I don’t recommend freezing this dip.
