How To Make Christmas Blossom Cookies
Here’s a quick overview of how to make Christmas kiss cookies. For the full recipe details, including ingredients and measurements needed, scroll down to the printable recipe card below.
You will need a couple of baking sheets, cookie scoop, a stand or hand mixer, and a few bowls to get started.
Step 1: Cream the butter, sugar, and brown sugar in a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment. Add the eggs and vanilla, mix to combine.
Add the flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix on low, scrape down the sides, then mix until just combined.

Step 2: Divide the dough between three bowls. Tint one batch green, one of the batches red, and leave the remaining bowl plain.

Step 3: Roll the cookie dough into small balls and place on a lined baking sheet, leaving 2″ between to allow for spreading.
Roll the plain dough balls in the Christmas sprinkles and press them in slightly so they stick to the dough.

Bake the cookies for 8-10 minutes.
As soon as you remove them from the oven, carefully press an unwrapped Hershey kiss into the center of each cookie. Leave to cool completely.

Recipe Tips For Success
Soften the butter before you start. Softened butter creams smoothly with the sugars, which gives you a soft, tender cookie.
Space them about two inches apart. This gives the cookies room to spread without touching.
Add the kisses right out of the oven. Pressing a Hershey’s Kiss on top immediately lets it melt slightly and stick to the cookie.
How To Serve Holiday Kiss Cookies

- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cooking salt
- gel food coloring red, green
- Christmas sprinkles
- 36 Hershey's Kisses
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 ℉ (180℃). Line a couple of baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.
- In the bowl of a stand mixer with a paddle attachment, add the softened butter, sugar, and brown sugar. Cream until smooth.
- Add the eggs and vanilla, mix to combine, then add the flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix to combine, scraping the sides and mixing well again.
- Divide the dough between three bowls. Tint one bowl green, another red, and keep the remaining bowl plain (to be rolled with sprinkles).
- Use a cookie scoop or a tablespoon to measure about 1 tablespoon of dough. Roll into a bowl. Green and red dough balls can be placed straight on the lined baking sheet, about 2 inches apart.
- The untinted dough balls should be rolled in your choice of holiday sprinkles, pressing them slightly to secure them in place.
- Bake the cookies for 8-10 minues, or until the edges are slightly browned.
- On removing the tray from the oven, immediately top with an unwrapped Hershey's Kiss so that it melts slightly underneath and secures it to the cookie. Leave to cool completely.
