This strawberry matcha smoothie is a quick and refreshing drink that combines the sweetness of strawberries with the earthy flavor of matcha green tea powder. Ready in just 5 minutes, it's perfect for a nutritious start to your day or an afternoon pick me up.
Add the frozen strawberries, almond milk, matcha powder, honey and vanilla to a high speed blender.
Blend until smooth and creamy. If the smoothie is too thick, add a little more almond milk. If not thick enough, add a few more ice cubes and blend.
Taste for sweetness and adjust if necessary. Blend briefly to mix any extra ingredients added at this stage.
Pour into 2 short or 1 large glass and enjoy cold.
Notes
I recommend using frozen strawberries so the smoothie is icy cold with a nice thick consistency. If using fresh strawberries, wash and hull them and add 1/2 cup of ice cubes to the blender.
This recipe uses almond milk but you can use any milk of your choice.
