Ingredients
1
cup
brewed coffee
extra strong
2
cups
superfine sugar
2
tbsp
corn syrup
Instructions
Mix all ingredients in a heavy saucepan over medium high heat.
Bring to a boil and stir to dissolve the sugar.
Turn the heat down to medium and simmer gently for 15 minutes, stirring frequently.
Allow the syrup to cool in the saucepan for 20 minutes before transferring to an airtight jar or bottle.
Allow to fully cool for 24 hours in the fridge before using.
Notes
Extra strong coffee works best when making coffee syrup. Increase the coffee to water ratio when brewing your coffee to make a stronger brew.
Store the syrup in a sealed jar or bottle in the fridge for up to 4 weeks.
This coffee syrup is sweeter than a simple syrup as it contains a higher ratio of sugar to coffee.
